2007 Road Rage Survey
This is a few weeks old, but check it out: AutoVantage, a national auto club, just conducted the second annual In The Driver’s Seat Road Rage Survey. The results were sometimes surprising to me.
The wort road rage for 2007 is as follows:
- Miami
- New Yrok
- Boston
- Los Angeles
- Washington, DC
The 2007 survey returned the following:
- Miami
- Phoenix
- New York
- Los Angeles
- Boston
Phoenix? What the hell?
The Most Courteous Cities (Least Road Rage) for 2007:
- Portland, OR (home of BootsnAll)
- Pittsburgh
- Seattle/Tacoma
- St. Louis
- Dallas/Ft. Worth
Sounds to me like SOMEBODY has never been to St. Louis. I wouldn’t say I was in love with the drivers there. I am surprised the Chicago area was not on the list. I found the best drivers on the road to be in Chi-Town. Also, I don’t know that Dallas and Fort Worth can really be combined for driving purposed. Maybe I just say that because I really like the city of Ft. Worth and really dislike Dallas…
Here are the 2006 results:
- Minneapolis
- Nashville (I’ll buy that)
- St. Louis
- Seattle
- Atlanta
That was the one that really threw me for a loop. I would say Atlanta should be on the WORST list (along with Memphis). Weird.
What CAUSES the road rage? Behaviors by other drivers such as speeding, tailgating and cutting drivers off. Yep, that’s all every day in Atlanta. I won’t bore you with the proposed fixes for the problem.
