American Airlines 1 Million Miles Mavericks Playoffs Giveaway

American Airlines is giving away one million AAdvantage miles during the upcoming Dallas Mavericks playoff games.

What do you get? One grand prize winner will be chosen each game with the winner receiving 25,000 AAdvantage miles (50,000 miles for any and all home games in Round 4) and two tickets to the Mavs next 2007 home playoff game. The winner will also automatically qualify for the next round of challenges and compete against two new contestants at the next home game. Wow, it’s like Jeapordy for basketball.

How do you get them? “Each game features a different challenge to test contestants’ athletic and intellectual abilities.” Athletic AND intellectual? Sounds like the place I need to go meet boys. A panel of judges will determine the top participants, who will then compete in front of a sold-out crowd during a break in game action. Okay, if you get stage fright, rest assured everyone is going to the bathroom, getting more beer and talking over the game while you’re competing. They aren’t really watching you.

When does it happen? Two hours before game time, you can audition for an on-the-court spot at the AT&T Plaza on the south side of American Airlines Center. Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25 at 8:30 p.m. Central Time. For schedule updates, go to www.mavs.com.
