American Airlines International Curbside Check in in Miami

American Airlines recently announced it is the only airline to offer the option of curbside check in for passengers traveling on international flights from Miami International Airport (MIA). In addition, customers can always check in at airport kiosks or online.

“International travel can be a stressful and tiring experience for many passengers,” said George Hazy, American Airlines Vice President of the Miami Hub. “We want to be able to provide our customers with all the convenient options we can in order to make their experience as pleasant as possible. From Miami we have more international flights than anywhere else in our
system, so this is a great new step in offering our passengers a convenient alternative.”

This part is pretty funny: “American Airlines customers enjoy many additional amenities, including the ability to check up to two pieces of luggage of 50 pounds or less each at no additional cost, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, and food on many flights.” Since when is checking two 50 pound bags and getting free soda a perk on a major U.S. carrier? Funny.

So if you’re flying international out of Miami, keep in mind you can check in at the curb.
