American Airlines SMS Text Message Special Offers

American Airlines is trying something new – sending fare sales via SMS text message. The fare sales, called txtSAAver fares, are currently available to customers in the DFW area as the first phase of the roll out. You can sign up to receive weekly text message alerts with sale information and special offers. The pricing will come from American’s weekly NetSAAver fares, which are sent via email each Tuesday. The text receivers will get additional deals to those on the NetSAAver email. Customers can redeem the specials by booking through aa.com/txt. In addition to the fares, each week American will feature an AAdvantage frequent flyer program special offer.

To enroll, go to https://www.aa.com/textsaaver. Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, Alltel and Virgin customers can also enroll by texting “AA” to the short code 22898.
