Baltimore Free Fall Festival
This October, you can make your way to Baltimore, Maryland for the Third Annual Free Fall Festival, a citywide festival that offers you heaps of free arts and cultural activities throughout the month.
What’s free? Well, the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Walter’s Art Museum are always free, and they remain so for the festival. During October, you can also gain admission in to the Baltimore Women’s Film Festival, as well as 13 new theatrical performances such as CENTERSTAGE’s “Who’s
Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” and the Baltimore Theatre Project’s phantasmagorical, “Cyclopedia.” You can take a glass-blowing workshop at McFadden Art Glass (which I would love to do), get down and dirty at clay and photography workshops, enjoy master classes with renowned classical guitarists and
photographers, and take a free tours with Star-Spangled tours. That’s a lot of free stuff.
To draw visitors to the festival, many of the area hotels are offering deals for guests. The Admiral Fell Inn is offering free parking and a Harbor Magic passport full o’ discounts and the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards is offering guests Sunday night for free with a Saturday night stay.
There really is so much on offer that I can’t list it all here. If you think you’ll find yourself in Baltimore this month check out the events listing for your specific travel dates.
