Business Tablets: ASUS Eee Slate EP121
As the people who brought you the Eee PC proved, they know how to make a computer travel-friendly. Now the good folks at ASUS have introduced their own tablet PC.
The ASUS Eee Slate EP121 offers the perks of a laptop or a netbook with the slim convenience of a tablet, and it allows users to interact via the touchscreen or the “digitizer pen” that comes with the tablet. The “pen” is a stylus that allows for quick handwritten note-taking and more pinpointed manipulation of the touchscreen. You can also attach a portable keyboard to the Eee Slate EP121 and turn it into more of a monitor.
Apple’s iPad is less expensive than the Eee Slate EP121, even if you splurge on the 64GB version, but if you’re a PC person who wants a computer’s functionality with the benefits of a tablet then this might be one to consider. And since it’s brand new, look for the price to come down eventually, too.
