Continental Airlies Checked Bag Fee Waiver

Continental Airlines recently announced that beginning immediately the airline will waive fees for the first checked bag for Continental Airlines Chase credit and debit card members. So if you whip out your Continental Airlines Chase credit card, you can save the $15 each way.

Fee waivers are available for the primary credit or debit card members, along with any other customers traveling with him or her if they are listed in the same reservation and check in at the same time. Continental Airlines Presidential Plus card members can check up to two bags without paying a fee, saving a hefty $40 each way per passenger checking bags.

“We worked closely with Chase to improve the value of our family of co-branded credit and debit cards,” said Mark Bergsrud, Continental’s senior vice president marketing programs and distribution. “Waiving the first checked baggage fee offers a significant benefit to the more than one million customers who carry a Continental Airlines Chase credit or debit card.”

As always, checked bags must meet the applicable weight and size restrictions. These fee waivers will apply to all Continental Airlines, Continental Express and Continental Connection flights. For all the 411, check out continental.com.
