FreeMobileFuelFinder is yet another website offering you the ability to track down cheap gas on your cell phone. There are several sites like this available now, and it’s always nice to have a few options.

FreeMobileFuelFinder.com is offering its service for free for each and every member of the driving public in the United States. How does it work?

• Register online for FREE
• Call the toll free number from your cellphone and enter your current zip code
• FreeMobileFuelFinder will then send you a text message with the cheapest gas prices in the area

“With FreeMobileFuelFinder.com the savings to users varies countrywide but on the west coast someone in L.A. or San Francisco could save up to $0.55 per gallon per fill-up, or a total savings of about $8.25 per 15 gallon tank/per fill-up. SUV’s and motor homes could have huge savings on each fill-up. If less than half the driving public used this free service and saved $15/mo/person the total savings could be $25 million/day.”

My goodness, that’s a lot of dough. I guess the only catch is that you have to know your way around the area pretty well or have a navigation system to direct you to the right spot. Some zip codes are awfully big and it may not be worth driving across town to save $0.02 a gallon, but it’s definitely worth a look-see.
