The Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express, a fully en-suite private train, is ready to take off to serve the world’s longest railway line and bring new levels of comfort and service to rail travel in Russia. The new Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express consists of 21 new state-of-the-art carriages. The train will accommodate guests in 12 new sleeping cars made up of Gold and Silver classes. The six Gold class carriages feature modern en-suite amenities including power showers and under floor heating, as well as state-of the-art DVD/CD players, LCD TV screens, audio system, individual air conditioning, and wardrobe space. The cabin area is a roomy (for a train) 77 square feet. The six Silver carriages also have excellent facilities and amenities similar to those in the Gold Class, but the shower areas are much smaller. Silver Class cabins are 60 square feet.

The fourteen night trip leaves from Moscow and travels more than 6,000 miles to its final destination, Vladivostok, on the Sea of Japan. Fourteen nights on a train? No thank you – I can’t even deal with a cruise ship for that long.
