Doubletree Hotel Historic Savannah in Georgia has been awarded the Doubletree CARE Cup for the second quarter of 2006. The Doubletree CARE Cup is a traveling award that is presented quarterly to the top hotel among more than 180 Doubletree hotels across the United States, Canada and Latin America.
InterContinental Hotels Group and All Nippon Airways plan on finalizing a deal in December to operate 31 hotels in Japan. They have also announced a new Holiday Inn Express in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Hotel Indigo will add four new properties in the capitol city metro area in Ashburn, Chantilly, Herndon, Virginia, and Linthicum, Maryland by the end of 2008. The new Holiday Inn Malé in Maldives is scheduled to open in late 2008 as well. A new Staybridge Suites is planned for early 2008 in downtown Indianapolis
Marriott Hotels has achieved Green Globe certification, the most respected worldwide standard for sustainable travel and tourism, at seventeen of their London area hotels. Go Marriott.

Novotel has opened its seventh hotel in Canada with the Novotel Montreal Airport for business travelers. Meeting rooms have flat screens TVs, high speed WI-FI, hands-free telephony, high-tech A/V facilities and others. Guest rooms include wall-mounted flat screen televisions, free high-speed Internet access, oversize showers and ergonomic furniture.
Radisson Hotels has opened 5 new properties with the Radisson Hotels & Resorts Hotel in California, three Country Inns & Suites in the U.S. and one Park Plaza in India.
