Ice Golf at Bryant Park, NYC
New York is such a great place to be at this time of year, with the city decorated for the holidays and gearing up for Christmas and New Years. Okay, so it’s FREEZING cold, but surely you can overlook that. Especially when you have the opportunity to wina $40,000 diamond playing golf at Bryant Park.
Bryant Park is one of the fantastic parks of New York City, close to Times Square in Midtown. You can find it behind the New York Public Library, between 40th and 42nd Streets & Fifth and Sixth Avenues. You could practically throw a rock and hit Broadway and the theater district.
On Wednesday, December 19, you have the opportunity to take to the ice at The Pond at Bryant Park to win a $40,000 two carat Polar Bear Canadian diamond, as well as a trip of a lifetime to our neighbor of the north, Oh Canada.
This contest is open to everyone, and players are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Ice Golf, as the contest is being called, was created by and will be hosted by the Canadian Tourism Commission.
Between noon and 2:00 p.m. on December 19th, players will compete to sink a putt into the Canadian Maple Leaf hole on The Pond. Yes, anyone can participate. You don’t even have to know how to play golf.
Imagine the Christmas you could have. Go to New York for business, take a long lunch at Bryant Park to enter the contest, and return home with one heck of a Christmas gift for someone. THEN you get to go to Canada for free as well!
