New York City Explorer Pass

Statue of LibertyThe New York City Explorer Pass is a pass that gets you in the most popular tourist spots in the city. If you’re headed to the Big Apple for business, you HAVE to check out the sites while you’re there. If you’re going soon, you may have the chance to take in one of the free events that are part of the Tribeca Film Festival. Or you could take in one of the festival’s many paid events as well.

The New York City Explorer Pass comes in two versions, Choose 3 or Choose 5. I bet you can’t figure out what those mean. Well, customers have their choice of admission to either 3 or 5 of the city’s tourist attractions, including: Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Immigration Museum; Top of the Rock Observation Deck; CitySights NY 24-hour Hop-on Hop-Off Double Decker Bus Tour; Metropolitan Museum of Art (VIP admission); Museum of Modern Art (VIP admission); NY Waterway Tours Skyline Cruise and City Lights Cruise; NY Water Taxi’s Gateway to America Cruise and 2-day Hop-on Hop-off water taxi; NBC Studio Tour; Rockefeller Center Tour; On Location Tours’ Sex and the City Hotspots Bus Tour, New York TV and Movie Spots Bus Tour, and Central Park Movie Sites Walking Tour; and Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets Day Trip. What, no the Seinfeld tour?

This pass gives you 30 days to use your selected admissions, so no hurry. If you can only fit in one event per trip, you can stretch it out over the month. According to the press release, the New York City Explorer Pass is also currently the only pass to include admission to a Hop-on Hop-Off Double Decker Bus Tour, The Metropolitan Museum of Art (VIP admission) and Top of the Rock Observation. I like those buses.
