Qatar Airways Service in NYC and Washington, DC
Qatar Airways has begun service to the New York area with flights in to the Newark Liberty International Airport. The carrier will offer service between Doha and New York, making it the only Middle Eastern carrier flying in to Newark.
“Our determination and endeavours to fly to the United States have at last been fulfilled. I would like to thank the authorities in both America and Qatar for making our historic route a reality today,” Al Baker remarked, “We are the only Middle East carrier flying to Newark Liberty International Airport offering our passengers from across the Gulf countries and feeder markets in the Indian subcontinent with excellent onward connections across the USA.”
Qatar Airways will offer service four times a week using the Airbus A330. The aircraft will be configured with 12 seats in First Class, 18 seats in Business Class, and 208 seats in Economy.
Beginning July 19, Qatar Airways will start daily non-stop scheduled services between Doha and Washington DC as well.
Qatar Airways’ has a brand new Premium Terminal at the Doha International Airport, to be used exclusively by First and Business Class passengers. The Premium Terminal features facilities including a spa, jacuzzi, exclusive duty free shopping, business center, fine dining restaurants and cocktail bar.
The Doha – Geneva – New York flights will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, departing Doha at 8:40 am and arriving in Newark at 6:55 pm. The New York – Geneva – Doha flights will depart at 9:55 and arrive at 8:15 the following day.
