The Wine Show in London – October 25 to 28, 2007
If you’re a wine lover in you’re in the London area this week, you’re in luck. I learned from the London Logue, a sister site, that the Wine Show will take place for the next several days in Islington at the Business Design Center.
I’m hugely jealous of those of you who can attend this show, where you can do anything from tasting (Mmmmm) to buying thousands of wines from around the globe. In addition, you can take a wine tasting course and talk to the experts. Great way to learn a few tricks to impress the business associates the next go round.
According to Chris at the London Logue,
Among the other features at the show are The Wine Market where you can meet smaller wine producers and retailers and buy their special wines at good prices, the French Wines Experience showing off the best of France’s wine industry, Wine Walks with the Experts where you can be accompanied around the show by one of its panel of wine experts, and Masterwine 2007 where the public can put their wine knowledge against those of the show’s experts to find this year’s Masterwine.
You can tell this event isn’t based in the U.S. by the fact that people are WALKING around the show rather than taking a scooter or Segway like those lazy bastards in Las Vegas. Hehe!
Anyway, the Wine Show is open 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets will set you back between £10-£16 at the door. If you’re traveling with a buddy or co-worker, you can score a two for one deal if you get your tickets online or over the phone.
The Business Design Centre is on Upper Street in Islington with Angel the nearest Tube station.
