Tokyo, Japan Business Travel Resource Guide
So you’re going to Tokyo for work and you’re not sure what to expect? Here are some tips.
From most international destinations, you’ll be flying in to the Narita International Airport, which is an hour to an hour and a half away from the city. The airport is well connected to the city with buses and trains. Taxis are available, but are VERY expensive due to the distance from the city. Shared taxis are not available, and the passenger WILL be required to pay the tolls for the toll roads in addition to the fare.
Before you leave, check the health info at the CDC Page and check with your travel doctor for any vaccinations that may be recommended and updated health information. You should be fine as long as you stay in the city.
The currency is the Yen. You can check conversion rates here.
