Top 25 Arts Destinations for 2007
AmericanStyle Magazine recently released the results of the “Top Arts Destinations” poll, which lists the top 25 arts destinations in the United States. If your business travel takes you to any one of these cities, you really should take a little extra time to get your cultural fix. That means get your rear end off of the hotel bar stool and go out and see some art.
I bet any American can guess the number one spot for the Big Cities category – New York City. For the 4th consecutive year. Chicago (my favorite city in the U.S.) is number 2, with loads of offerings for tourists, and San Francisco came in at number 3.
For Mid-Sized Cities, Pittsburgh is numero uno. The public art begins now in the airport with two new glass mosaics depicting the history of the city. Albuquerque came in second and, surprisingly, Las Vegas scored number 3.
Santa Fe, New Mexico topped the list for Small Cities, followed by Sedona, Arizona and Key West, Florida.
