United Airlines Suitcase Party in Denver

United Airlines is having a suitcase party to celebrate the airline’s new service between the Denver International Airport and London’s Heathrow. The party will be held at Pints Pub on West 13th Avenue (in Denver, of course) on March 30th, so you have a few weeks to prepare.

What’s the prize? A free two day trip to London on the inaugural flight with two nights stay at the Marriott Regents Park. Judging begins at 1:30 pm and the winner will be selected by 2:30. The winner and a friend will then be whisked directly to the airport.

How do you win? You have to have the best “Denver themed” decorated suitcase in the house. Your snazzy suitcase will have to be packed full of your London gear…if you win, you board the flight that very night. Your suitcase may be up to 62 inches long, wide, or tall (including designs). In a surprising turn of events, United will waive oversized baggage fees if the winning bag exceeds 115 linear inches.

I know two days sounds short, but I was recently in London with only one free day to sightsee. It’s amazing how much you can get done in a day in that city. And I recommend the Ship Tavern for a really cool atmosphere for some pints after walking around all day.
